Providing Arizona WIC families with fresh fruits and vegetables from local farmers markets and farm stands.
The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) is a federal program administered in Arizona by DES and Pinnacle Prevention that works to improve the health of low-income families who are current WIC participants and currently receiving benefits.
Once a year, qualifying families may receive one booklet containing up to six (6) FMNP vouchers to be used at authorized Farmers Markets and Farm Stands. Currently, WIC participants are eligible for $30 of coupons per household, divided into $5 coupons.
The number of FMNP vouchers issuance may vary each year according to available funding.
